Where is Berkshire Furniture located?
We are located at 1425 Dundas Street East (Inside Mobilia Building), corner of Dixie. Mississauga, Ontario Canada L4X-2W4
How long will take for the furniture to arrive?
Typically it takes anywhere from 1-8 weeks for furniture to be ready and shipped. It all depends on availability and your distance. Some suppliers have special holiday Cut-off time and require the order to be placed up to certain dates to receive it prior to their holiday shut down. If you are ordering close to holiday time and it is important for you to receive your furniture during holidays, please call or e-mail to find out if that will be possible.
What if I received a piece of furniture that was damaged?
If you received a piece of furniture that was damaged and the damaged area cannot be fixed by part replacements i.e. a drawer, a door, a leg, touch up, or by service man, then simply send that piece back with the driver and we will replace it free of charge. Any damages must be noted on delivery or pick up bill prior to delivery person leaving the premises. Please note, ALL RETURNS MUST BE AUTHORIZED BY OUR OFFICE PRIOR TO SENDING BACK. If you return a piece of furniture without RA (Return Authorization), we will not be able to replace or compansate for you.
How do you ship?
For Greater Toronto Area we ship by our own truck. Smaller items may be sent by FedEx.
Out of GTA, Cross Canada or USA furniture is shipped by reliable truck transport. Your furniture is either secured by plywood or put on pallets and shipped by major transports. If the box is smaller and safe to ship without pallets then we use smaller shipping company. No matter how small or large the shipment, we always buy insurance to cover the value of the items. Therefore it is very important to inspect the items once arrives at your destination and if any damages found mark it on driver’s bill.
How much do you charge for shipping?
The shipping charges vary depending on the quantity of pieces you like to purchase and the distance. Although we prefer if customers could pick up their orders but we will provide you with good shipping service if you cannot pick up. Please refer to our Shipping Rates to check the shipping methods and charges. Standard FREE shipping is available to purchases over 5 pieces to GTA residence. This service is curbside drop off only by one man. Customer assistance is required in unloading thier merchandise.
What are the shipping methods?
We have three ways to get the furniture to you.1- Pick up from our facility or our supplier’s warehouses, 2- Standard curbside drop off delivery, 3- White glove delivery service. Our “White Glove” service includes: Inside delivery, unpacking, setting up and debris removal. White glove service is only offered to GTA customer by our own delivery crew. We do not set up “RTA” Ready to assemble furniture. RTA furniture is easy assembly and most customers prefer to do it themselves. Please refer to our Shipping Rates for shipping charges.
Refund & Exchange Policy
Do we have a Refund Policy?
Yes & No.
Yes: If the item is not released for shipping or within 3 days after the order is placed.
Yes: If you purchased something from the site and it was then further reduced within 30 days, you will be allow to get refund for the difference of price you paid and discounted price.
Yes: If you purchased an item but we could not fill your order because the item is no longer available.
No: If order has passed 3 days from the time you placed order.
No: If your order is custom made.
No: If order is released for shipping or shipped already.
Do we have an Exchange policy?
Yes & No.
Yes: If the item you purchased is not opened and only agreed by the supplier for an exchange.
Yes: If any item you purchased cannot be repaired by replacing parts, or sending furniture medic for repair.
Yes: If the order is less than 3 days and not shipped yet.
No: If Manufacture / Supplier refused exchange. (We will check with Manf. / Supplier and let you know).
No: If item you received is shipped and opened.
No: If item is custom made and past 3 days since you placed order.
Note: In all above scenarios you need to first obtain Return Authorization Number (RA)
